Description:
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with a bacteriostatic action against mainly Gram-positive bacteria like Campylobacter, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Treponema spp.
Indications:
Tylosin Tartrate is indicated for the treatment of livestock and poultry mycoplasma and sensitive bacterial infections, such as Pasteurella disease, mastitis endometritis, peritonitis sepsis, respiratory and digestive and urinary tract infection caused by susceptible strains, swine atrophic rhinitis, streptococcus disease, swine toxoplasmosis, coccidiosis, chronic respiratory disease of chickens and infections rhinitis.
Dosage:
Oral administration
Cattle, Sheep Goats and Pigs: 100 kg/bolus.
Poultry: 30-60 kg/bolus
Side effects:
After intramuscular administration local reactions can occur, which disappear in a few days. Diarrhoea, epigastric pain and skin sensitization can occur.
